The club is delighted to announce a first run of 2026 Club Merchandise.

The Panthers will be offering a training top/singlet and debuting a new rugby top, as voted for by club members in the past month.

Players will also be able to order a new playing shirt if required.

The order will close at the END OF APRIL, with the training tops expected to arrive by mid-June, and the rugby tops shortly after that.

2026 Pre-Season Training

The 2026 Pre-Season is here:

Junior’s

Junior Grading sessions will commence on Saturday, 14th February.

U10 and U12 Sessions will be held on Saturdays, while U14 and U16 Sessions will be held on Sundays.

The Grading sessions will all be held at our home turf.

Weekly Junior Training will commence on the week starting Monday, March 2nd.
Monday U14 5:45 pm – 7 pm
Tuesday U12 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
Wednesday U16 + U18 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
Thursday U10 + Minkeys 5:30pm – 6:45 pm

Men’s

The Men’s 2026 Pre-Season will commence on Saturday, 31st January.

9 am-10:30 am PL1 intra Squad game invitation only.

10:30-12pm PL2/SL1-SL2

12-1:30pm SL3-SL4

1:30-3pm SL6-SL8

A reminder that Sydney Hockey has changed the competition structure from 2025, with PL3 now becoming SL1.

If you are unsure of which session to attend, attend the session that you played in 2025 or contact Men’s President Dean Merchant.

Women’s

The Women’s Pre-Season will commence on Friday, 6th February.

2026 Women’s President Announcement

Ryde Hunters Hill District Hockey Club is delighted to welcome Amanda Truong (Barbie) as Women’s President for 2026.

Amanda has a long and proud association with Ryde as a player, coach, and committee member. She played junior hockey with Ryde and has continued her involvement in women’s and masters’ competitions, as well as indoor hockey. Amanda brings extensive coaching experience, having coached junior and representative hockey teams, as well as both women’s and men’s Ryde hockey teams. In addition, she has contributed significantly to a range of management and committee roles, including serving as Social Director and holding other key support positions within the club.

Amanda’s long-standing involvement, strong connection to the club, and loyalty to the Ryde Hockey community have led her to take on this demanding but rewarding leadership role.

As many within the club already know, Amanda is passionate about hockey and deeply committed to building a strong, inclusive, and sustainable culture that not only strives for club and player success but also continues to encourage a deep sense of hockey community, camaraderie, and shared love of hockey.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Amanda has already been busy recruiting experienced Ryde club members to support coaching, administration, communication, and team selection.

The club looks forward to working with Amanda and supporting her as Women’s President in 2026.

Panthers set for Kookaburras in 2026

Panthers set to soar for Hockeyroos in 2026

A big congratulations to Abby Wilson and Zoe Newman, who have been named in the 2026 Hockeyroos Squad, and to Lexi Pickering, who has been named in the 2025 Senior Performance Squad.

2026 is set to be a huge year for the Hockeyroos, with the FIH Pro League, and the 2026 World Cup. We can’t wait to see you all star in the green and gold.

Oli Bestwick stars in Indonesia

A big congratulations to Oli Bestwick, who recently completed a tour of Indonesia with the Australian U21 Country team. Oli was on fire throughout the tournament, making a superb goal-line save in the opening game of the tournament.

Bestwick was selected for the side after starring for NSW at the Australia Country Championships in August, 2025.

Panthers Medal at the Nkosi Cup

A big round of applause to Jett Leong and Rob Tohu, who represented Australia and New Zealand, respectively, at the recent Nkosi Cup in South Africa.

Jett and the Aussies claimed Silver, while Rob helped NZ to bronze, but did claim bragging rights with a win over Australia in the pool stages.

The Nkosi Cup was an integral warm-up tournament ahead of the next Indoor World Cup.

The 2022 hockey season is nearly upon and it’s time to return to training.

Training times for this week.

Tuesday 22nd February:
7:30 pm – 9 pm – All Grades

Wednesday 23rd February:
6:45 pm – 8 pm – 1st and 2nd Grade Squad

Sunday 27th February:
9 am – 10:30 am – 1st & 2nd Grade squad
10:30 am – 12 pm – 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade
12 pm – 2 pm – 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade

Regular weekly training times will commence Tuesday 1st March.

Tuesday
6:45pm – 8pm – 1st & 2nd Grade Squad/ 6th-8th Grade
8pm – 9:15pm – 3rd, 4th, 5th Grade

Wednesday
6:45 pm – 8 pm – 1st and 2nd Grade Squad
