SWHL is the strongest competition in New South Wales and caters for elite players through to veterans, as well as juniors progressing through the ranks. Currently RHH fields four teams in this competition. Our teams play in Metro League divisions 1, 2, 4 and 5. The competition is predominantly played on Sundays and games can be held from 9am-8.30pm. Some games may also occasionally be played on Fridays evenings. The majority of games are played at Olympic Park (Homebush) while the remaining games may be held at Cinta (Concord), Bankstown or Moorebank. All games are held on synthetic water based turf with the season running from mid April – mid September.
The 2015 SWHL season will commence Sunday, 12th April 2015 with the Grand Finals being held on 20th September, 2015.
No games will be held on the following weekends: 10th May; 8th June and 27th July.
During the 2014 season RHH fielded our 5th, 6th and 7th grade sides in the SNWHA competition, in the respective ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ Divisions. Our 5th Grade, 6th and 7th Grade sides all qualified for the finals series with 5th and 7th grades going through to the grand finals.
The SNWHA competition is well suited to those who wish to enjoy a social Sunday game. All games are played on Sundays and venues include Keith Thompson Hockey Complex (our home turf), Cinta (Concord), Pennant Hills Park and Ku-ring-gai Hockey Centre. The games are held on synthetic water based turf with the season running from mid April – mid September.

For those who cant get enough of their hockey in the off season or who wish to enjoy a hit around with friends and family, Ryde also regularly enters teams in to both inter and intra-club summer competitions as well as indoor hockey competitions. Training is held at Keith Thompson Hockey Complex, our home turf in North Ryde.To kick start our training calender pre-season fitness commences late January.
Training for the women’s club is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. For those playing in 1st and 2nd Grade training is compulsory on both nights, while the remaining grades train once a week.
Training times for 2015 are yet to be confirmed.
