Support required for international / interstate players joining our club‏

One of the things we pride ourselves on at Ryde is being a welcoming and
supportive community especially when it comes to helping new players
from other countries / states settling into the area.  This season we
have 3 top level players joining our club to experience hockey and life
in Sydney and it would be fantastic if as a club we could help them find
some work and accommodation while they are here.

Below are brief CV’s of the new members and a type of support they
require. If you think you might be able to help with offers of paid work
and or accommodation we would be grateful if you could please let us know by return email.

Any offers, no matter how small would be really appreciated.

Anthony Falcome – 20 years old – Italian U21 player
Currently living on Alex Braude’s couch, Anthony has come to Sydney to
experience the Australian culture and hockey and improve his English and
is interested in any paid work opportunities and a room to stay / rent.
He has experience as a metal worker and pizza maker. He has a working
holiday visa.

Eli Springett – 22 years old – UK National League and British Colleges player
Eli is moving to Sydney from the UK at the beginning of March on a
working holiday visa. She is an English graduate and is ideally looking
for some teaching related work. She has some teaching experience and
also some experience as a copy writer but is willing to do any type of
paid work to support her self while she is out here. She is also looking
for flat mates and/or a place to rent from March.

Alex Shaw – 20 years old – Tasmanian U21 player (and Billy’s brother)
Following in the footsteps of his brother Billy who joined the club last year and now a core member of our men’s 1st
grade, Alex is the final year of his teaching degree and is moving to
Sydney to complete his studies and improve his career prospects.
Accordingly, he’s ideally looking for some teaching related work but is
open to any opportunities to help support himself while he completes his
studies.
