Indoor Hockey
The Indoor Hockey comp at Ryde Aquatic Centre on Sundays will be starting in term 4 – it goes from 2
0 October to 165December. Ryde usually enters teams in each age group so if you are interested in playing we should be able to get you into a team. The comp has teams from Minkeys/U9s to U18s so everyone can play. Games are between 10-4pm approx, depending on the draw, with the younger age groups playing earlier.

There is no training for indoor, you just turn up for your game on Sunday and play, then you can finish off with a swim at the Aquatic Centre. It’s a great sport to play during the off season as it’s very good for skill development – and it’s also lots of fun!

Teams are usually made up of 8 players including a goalie and 6 are on the field at once. The teams are mixed (boys and girls) just like the winter comp. Parents from the winter teams usually organise an indoor team so if you are interested you can ask your team manager if they know of anyone organising a team. Otherwise you can enter your details in the form below so you can be added to a team.

If you have any friends that did not play hockey during winter but would like to try indoor they are welcome to join a team too. There are grades to suit all levels of players. It would be great to see lots of kids playing indoor this year, it really is a great activity.
