SH and SWHL Seasons Cancelled
In sadder news, SH and SWHL have made the joint decision to cancel the remainder of the season. A message from our President Glen Castensen:
Hi all. We trust you and your families are coping as best as possible during these challenging times. Further to the earlier announcement regarding the cancellation of this season by SWHL and SH, we imagine a number of the other associations, including Juniors will also be updating us shortly. As we had flagged at the commencement of this lock-down – ultimately, our Club position on the recommencement of the season would be based on the direction of the respective associations. While we are all disappointed, we know many factors went into this decision with the players and supporters safety being paramount.
As this was only announced on Tuesday, the respective associations have yet to provide formal notifications regarding the key operational issues like the refunding of registration fees. Once this is known, the Club will be able to update you.
Finally, our thoughts and prayers are with all that have been impacted beyond just the challenges of the current lock-down. Don’t forget to reach out to your teammates and fellow Club members when you get a chance. A simple call can make the world of difference.
