Ryde Indoor Premiers

Congratulations to the Ryde Indoor Team – Premiers

Match Report – After a slow start against the Junior
Development Squad (i.e. they actually train and have a coach!) Ryde found
themselves 1 – 3 down at half time. With a lot of to-ing and fro-ing and
some excellent work from Eugene the score was still 1-3 down with 8 minutes to
go.  First one goal, to Ryde, than a second to equalise and finally a 4th
with 40 seconds on the clock.  The JDS fought back to claim a penalty
corner with 3 or so seconds on the clock which was duly converted to lock the
game up at 4-4

Which brought about 1 player drop off, 5 minutes golden goal. 
After 5 minutes no change to the score so to a second period of extra time and
a second drop off (down to 3 field players and a keeper).  Kerry Marthick
intercepted a pass and run to score the winning goal mid way through the extra
time thus avoiding the penalty stokes!

Well done to the JDS who we drew with earlier in the season.
